Ikebana kenzans / Florist Frogs+
Ikebana Kenzans (sometimes know as florist or flower frogs) were invented in Japan over 100 years ago for use in the art of ikebana flower arrangements. They are also called Pin Frogs and flower frogs.
Consisting of a small heavy weighted piece of round or rectangular metal that has a bed of nails, frogs are used in the base of arrangements with flowers being directly secured onto the nails then submerged in water.
We also love to use them all over the store for displaying postcards and old photos as shown here!
