+Originally designed for horsemen to protect their clothing from trail dust in the late 1800's, the traditional duster was then adapted and used for protection in automobile attire. We loved an original duster that we stumbled across, with its detailing and silhouette dating it around 1900-1915 and were inspired to create our own Metta Melbourne rendition.
Featuring a full button front, generous side pockets, and raglan sleeves that are great for allowing cosy layering in the cooler months. 1915 Duster Jacket’s sleeves are finished beautifully with the same Japanese-made buttons (used throughout), and the mid-weight linen makes the 1915 Duster a transeasonal staple.
Your 1915 Duster Jacket will arrive pre-washed, the linen will be slightly stiffer and more crumpled. With each and every wear your 1915 Duster Jacket will soften, showcasing the gorgeous European Linen.
